"Going to the dentist is dreadful to a lot of people, and before I became a patient here, I had my reservations too, but I can tell you that I am actually excited now when I go to this office. I always have a good experience with my teeth cleanings with Maria, and Dr. Morad's knowledge is a huge draw. I'd recommend them to anyone. The staff is fantastic, and scheduling is a synch!"

" The doctor did a really good job, she is obviously more than a perfectionist. I've gone to different dentists and all those experiences and that's why I'm here, I like here, and I like everyone who work here."

"I smile all the time. All my pictures are night and day. The thing I like about smiling big all the time is the old theory that if you force yourself to smile when you’re feeling bad, you actually do feel better. When I have a huge smile, I do really feel better and I do feel like a happier person now with a better smile."

FACIAL HARMONY ORTHODONTICS

We take your entire face—including the jaw bones, muscles, and teeth—into consideration when predicting and finalizing treatment to create a fully functional and aesthetic smile. We offer skeletal anchorage orthodontic treatment to correct a
“gummy” smile or “long” upper jaw bone utilizing mini pins that can pull the jaw up and make the extra bone naturally “shrinks”.

METAL BRACES

Traditional metal braces are made of medical-grade stainless steel brackets and archwires that straighten your teeth over time. These type of braces are oftentimes more affordable than other braces and aligner systems and are best suited for patients experiencing severe tooth and jaw misalignment.

LINGUAL BRACES

Lingual braces are metal-based appliances that are very similar to their traditional counterparts. The difference? These braces are secured on the back of your teeth, making them virtually invisible. Patients looking for a discreet way to straighten minor misalignments may benefit from lingual braces.

CERAMIC BRACES

Ceramic braces are very similar to the traditional metal braces, but are composed of a translucent ceramic material that matches the natural color of your teeth. Patients looking for a less noticeable alignment option may enjoy the discreet features of ceramic braces.

CLEAR ALIGNERS

Popular clear aligner brands, such as Invisalign and ClearCorrect, use a system of custom-made clear aligners that gradually straighten a patient’s smile by applying gentle, consistent pressure to the teeth. Depending on your specific case and your smile goals, clear aligners may be the right orthodontic treatment for you. Because the aligners are made of clear thermoplastic material, clear aligners are a great solution for patients looking to discreetly align their smile.

Why Is Orthodontic Dentistry Important?

Orthodontic dentistry is an essential branch of dental care that focuses on correcting jaw and bite misalignments. The importance of orthodontic treatment goes beyond aesthetics, as it plays a significant role in maintaining optimal oral health. One of the primary reasons why orthodontic dentistry is important is that misaligned teeth can lead to a variety of oral health issues. When teeth are not properly aligned, it can result in uneven wear and tear. Certain areas of the mouth may experience excessive pressure during chewing, while other areas may not be used as much. This uneven wear can lead to tooth decay, cavities, and other dental problems over time. Plus, misaligned teeth can pose challenges when it comes to oral hygiene. Crooked or crowded teeth create tight spaces that are difficult to clean effectively. As a result, plaque and bacteria can accumulate, increasing the risk of gum disease, tooth decay, and bad breath. Orthodontic treatment can help align the teeth, making it easier to maintain proper oral hygiene and reduce the likelihood of developing oral health issues. In addition to oral health concerns, misaligned teeth can impact speech and pronunciation. When teeth are not in their proper positions, it can interfere with the movement of the tongue and affect speech patterns. Orthodontic treatment can help align the teeth and jaws, improving speech clarity and enhancing overall communication. Misaligned teeth can also affect digestion. When teeth do not align properly, it can impair the chewing and breakdown of food. This can place additional stress on the digestive system and lead to issues such as indigestion and poor nutrient absorption. Orthodontic treatment can help correct misalignments, facilitating proper chewing and aiding in the digestion process.

Which Orthodontic Treatment Is Best For Me?

The best orthodontic treatment for an individual depends on several factors, including the severity of the misalignment, lifestyle considerations, and personal preferences. When seeking orthodontic treatment, it is important to consult with a qualified professional who can assess your oral health and discuss the available treatment options. Dr. Ghina Morad and her team are dedicated to providing personalized orthodontic care. They will carefully evaluate your specific needs and goals before recommending the most suitable treatment option. Traditional braces, clear aligners, and other advanced orthodontic techniques may be considered. Each treatment option has its advantages and considerations, and Dr. Morad will guide you through the pros and cons of each before making a final recommendation.

What Should I Know Before I Get Orthodontics?

Before getting orthodontic treatment, there are a few important factors to keep in mind. Firstly, it is essential to understand that orthodontic treatment requires a commitment. Regular check-ups with the orthodontist are necessary to monitor progress and make any necessary adjustments. Good oral hygiene practices, such as brushing and flossing regularly, are crucial throughout the treatment period.

Additionally, it is important to have patience during the orthodontic journey. Orthodontic treatment typically takes time to achieve the desired results. The duration of treatment can vary depending on the complexity of the case and the chosen treatment method. However, with patience and adherence to the orthodontist's instructions, the end result—a healthier, more aligned, and beautiful smile—is worth the effort.

Dr. Ghina Morad and her experienced team are dedicated to guiding patients through their orthodontic journey. They provide comprehensive care and ensure that patients are well-informed about the treatment process, expectations, and post-treatment care. What Are The Benefits Of Traditional Metal Braces?

As one of the most popular and affordable methods to straighten teeth, traditional braces are an effective solution for individuals struggling with a variety of orthodontic issues. Metal braces are extremely durable and are able to withstand daily wear, chewing, and brushing throughout the duration of your treatment. Unlike removable clear aligners, traditional braces are firmly planted to your teeth, so you don’t have to worry about maintaining the effectiveness of your orthodontic care.

What Is The Difference Between Clear Aligners And Traditional Braces?

Unlike traditional metal braces, clear aligners gently and discreetly shift your teeth without any noticeable or uncomfortable metal brackets and wires. Clear aligners are also minimally invasive, so most patients find them far more comfortable than traditional braces. Since clear aligners are easily removable, you can quickly take them out for photos and functions and place them back in at any time. Benefits include: No metal brackets or wires, Less invasive treatment, No dietary restrictions, No soft tissue irritation, and Reduced risk of tooth decay. However, clear aligners are not suited for everyone. If you are struggling with issues such as a malpositioned jaw or a severely misaligned bite, braces will offer a more versatile and powerful orthodontic treatment.

Are Clear Aligners Faster Than Traditional Braces?

While time frames vary based on each individual patient’s needs, clear aligner therapy is known to provide quicker results than traditional braces. This is because aligners gently push on all teeth as a whole, whereas braces pull each tooth individually. In order to achieve the results you are looking for, it is crucial to follow your dentist’s instructions for wearing your custom-made clear aligners.
